What people are saying: "Your botanical designs are so bold and cheerful"
This is an original, small handmade porcelain tumbler that was wheel-thrown, and comfortably holds 5 oz (150ml), which is a standard pour of wine. A whimsical image of cheerful yellow daffodil flowers is carved into the surface using a technique that originated in Korea known as mishima in which I incised the drawing into leather-hard clay and then inlayed a black slip (liquid clay) into the illustrated lines. The flowers are then hand-painted on. A clear glaze is applied over the entire piece, except for the base.
Size: This handmade tumbler comfortably holds 5 fluid oz, or 150ml, which is a standard pour of wine. It's perfect for wine, whisky, eggnog, or a fresh shot of green juice.
Dimensions: Approximately 3.5in (8 cm) tall and 2.5in (5cm) diameter.
** Locally supplied fine porcelain clay and glazes
** Glazes used are food-safe
** Microwavable and dishwasher proof (please load your handmade piece in the dishwasher carefully - hand-washing is recommended to prolong the life of the piece)
** Suitable for both cold or hot contents
Please note: Handmade ceramic wares by their very nature are unique, inconsistent and may have some imperfections that do not detract from the beauty and function of the piece. Instead, these are indications of the maker's hand and I encourage you to embrace them. If multiple quantities of this piece is available, they may be similar but they won't be identical, as each one of them is individually made.
**Your piece may not be identical to the one shown in these images, but it will be very similar.
