This is an original, handmade small dipping or sauce bowl that was wheel-thrown. It's a perfect size to hold your jam at the breakfast table, the guacamole dip when entertaining, or a little sweet treat for yourself. A botanical illustration of oranges was hand-drawn into this piece at the leather-hard stage, then inlayed with a black slip. This creates an interesting textural dimension on the surface. The fruit, flowers and leaves are then painted with various layers of underglaze colours. A clear glossy glaze is applied over the entire piece.

I create each of my pieces in my home studio in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. I'm often drawing inspiration from the florals found around our beautiful city neighbourhoods and parks.
