This is an original, handmade small pourer that was wheel-thrown. It's a perfect size for sauces, pouring cream, or custard. A botanical illustration of blue irises was hand-drawn into this piece at the leather-hard stage, then inlayed with a black slip. This creates an interesting textural dimension on the surface. The flowers and leaves are then painted with various layers of underglaze colours. A clear glossy glaze is applied over the entire piece.
